I'm a vegetarian, and I've seen a lot of stamps on dA that are anti-vegetarianism. Most of these stamps are about how humans are supposed to eat meat, etc. This is rather disturbing to me, because I really doubt that vegetarians that choose not to eat meat are unaware of the fact that humans are omnivorous animals.
Yes, I am aware humans are supposed to eat meat, but I choose not to for personal ethical reasons. Choosing an unnatural lifestyle is nothing new for humans. We drive cars, use the internet, buy and consume entirely man-made products everyday. If we did nothing but what we are "supposed to do", then we'd be living in caves eating raw meat and berries.
So please, for logic's sake, don't tell me what I'm "supposed" to eat.
"So please, for logic's sake, don't tell me what I'm "supposed" to eat."
I think that's what most people who aren't vegetarians think as well, because, more often than not, it's a vegetarian/vegan who's "proselytizing" about how 'evil' meat is. So it goes both ways, but sadly it falls on deaf ears on both sides. =[
Having said that, there are intelligent (read: not crazy) vegetarians out there, my manager being one of them. Props to those who don't go around veggie-thumping others, because they are few and far in between. (And heck, if I didn't like chicken so much, I'd be a vegetarian too!)

I totally agree. It upsets me to be part of a group that is so infamous for forcing views on others. Those that do harass people about their lifestyles make the rest of us look just as bad for being associated with them.
My personal stance is this; if you want to hear my views, I'm more than happy to explain them to you, but if you don't, I'm not going to yell at you for having a different opinion. That's just hypocritical.
I really haven't the slightest idea why people feel so threatened by vegetarians.
But then, 9 times out of 10 when somebody freaks out about me being a vegetarian they're either a redneck or a hunter/fisher/dog kicker/whatever and 95% of the time they're male.
Thaaaank you for making this. I'm the friend that was mentioned below. *points*
I'm sick of everyone thinking that just because I'm vegetarian I'm gonna... Start ranting on them about why they shouldn't be eating meat or something.
It's depressing to be a part of a group of people that are known for forcing their views on others, even if only because of others' hostility towards them, but it's still inappropriate and makes the rest of us look just as bad. In my experience, I've had a LOT of people rant to ME about why I should eat meat, all the while telling me not to yell at them for eating meat. What...?
My boyfriend adores meat. I'm hardly going to slap him with a turnip and force him to stop eating it. My Dad and my brother do too, and I can accept that. It's just something that I wouldn't want to eat myself.
I also get people banging on about how I should eat meat and why I should do so. It's really annoying.
I don't understand people. I never have, and it's not likely that I ever will. But hopefully, through a stamp like this, people will start to realize that not ALL vegetarians are going to shove their beliefs down your throat.

So this stamp suits her. Maybe I should give this to her... >]
Nice stamp by the way
I'm not sure why people are so against vegetarians. It's ridiculous really.
